Sunday School Teacher

It is said that by the age of 13 most people have already formed a religious belief system which they will hold throughout their entire lives. Because of this, we believe our teachers have a tremendous opportunity to help shape the spiritual and moral foundation for the children of our church. One of the ways we accomplish this goal is by trying to provide the children with loving and caring Sunday School Teachers.

If you would like to be a part of the Kids’ Ministries team at WRBC you need to be joyfully following and loving Jesus, value children and enjoy talking to and connecting with their parents. You’ll need to be willing to reach out by email or writing a card to children who haven’t attended in a while and to pray for the kids in your class. We need people who are flexible, who work well with others, who are willing to learn and who are supportive of where Kids’ Ministries at WRBC is headed. Each time you teach, you’ll need to prepare an engaging and fun lesson, for your class, using the assigned curriculum. There are Sunday School seminars, twice a year at the church, for you to attend and you need to be open to attending seminars that are happening in the Lower Mainland.

Here’s what you need to do if you’d like to apply

  • fill out a volunteer application
  • complete a criminal record check
  • meet for an interview

If you are interested please send your completed volunteer form with cover letter to or drop off to the office.
